In 2019, UIndy successfully defended its men's title, scoring 163 points to beat runner-up McKendree (125) by 38 points. The margin of victory was the largest at the GLVC Championship meet since UIndy defeated Missouri S&T 200-98 in 2013.
The Greyhounds own six GLVC indoor titles, followed by Lewis with five. Former GLVC member SIU Edwardsville follows with four, while Missouri S&T has earned one.
Lewis captured the 2019 women's title in record fashion scoring 168.5 points to edge out UIndy (167) by one-and-a-half points to set the narrowest margin of victory in the Championships' 20-year history. In 2018, Bellarmine set the GLVC record after the Knights defeated Lewis by four points, 143-139.
Action gets underway Saturday with the women's pentathlon and men's heptathlon events beginning at 9 a.m. and 9:25 a.m. ET, respectively. Field events will be contested at 3:30 p.m., with running events starting at 4 p.m.
