The William Jewell baseball team fell 18-4 in the series finale with Lewis University on Sunday afternoon at Talley Stadium. The Cardinals fall to 8-6 on the season and 1-2 in conference play. 

How it Happened

• Lewis got on the board first in the second inning on a three-run home run by Julian Everett. 
• Cameron Fliege singled to center scoring Zach Urso in the following frame to pull the Cardinals within two. 
• The Flyers scored 15 runs over the next two innings to break the game open. 
• With the bases loaded in the seventh, Nick Modrcin doubled to score three but Jewell could get no closer. 

For the Cardinals

• Jewell was limited to five hits by five different players. 
• Mack Stephenson (1-1) suffered the loss, allowing six earned on four hits.  

For the Flyers

• Anthony Rios, Joe Preusser, and Austin Tittle all finished with two hits to lead Lewis. 
• Rios and Everett each had three RBI. 
• Jake Karaba earned the win, striking out 11 and allowing just two hits over five frame.
