KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The William Jewell football team was held scoreless on Saturday, falling at Truman State, 52-0. The Cardinals drop to 0-8 on the season, 0-4 in conference play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Jewell held the Bulldogs to a 3-and-out on their first possession of the game but Truman scored on the next six to build a 42-0 lead at the half. 
• The Bulldogs added one score and a field goal to start the second half but were held scoreless over the final 25 minutes. 
• The Cardinals got down to the Truman 16-yard line late in the fourth quarter but were unable to score. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Defensively, Ethan Reynolds posted eight tackles including 1.5 for loss, while Myles Nash had seven takedowns. 
• Jewell had a season best four sacks of the Bulldog's quarterbacks as Ja'Carri Lewis, Adam Callahan and Hunter O'Connor each had one while David Gysbers and Kennedy Miller contributed to another. 
• Jalik Jaggwe finished with 92 yards on nine receptions while Treylan Gross led the Cardinals on the ground with 23 yards. 
• Bart Harris had 103 passing yards on nine completions while Will Schneider added 97 on six.
