LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell football team lost to Lindenwood on Saturday afternoon by a final of 53-10. The Cardinals fall to 0-9 on the season, 0-5 in conference play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Lindenwood scored on their first four drives to take an early 27-0 lead. 
• The Cardinals got on the board in the second quarter as Bart Harris found Marquis Whitmire for 39 yards and a score. 
• Josh Click connected on a 43-yard field goal with less than 10 seconds remaining in the second quarter to make it a 34-10 game at the half. 
• The second half was all Lions as they added 19 points to their tally. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Harrison was 19-for-38 for 184 yards. Whitmire and Jalik Jaggwe were the primary targets going for 62 and 61 yards, respectively. 
• Livingston Benoit led the running game with 30 yards on 16 carries. 
• Defensively, Jackson Vest and David Gysbers each posted nine tackles, while Carson Anderson and Taveris Albury were credited with one sack a piece. 
• Ethan Reynolds had three defended passes.
