EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The William Jewell volleyball team fell 3-0 on the road at Southern Indiana on Friday night. The Cardinals fall to 7-17 on the season, 1-11 in conference play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• In the opening set, both teams split the first 20 points. A Katy Garrison kill put Jewell in front 11-10 but USI followed with a 15-7 run to take the set, 25-18. 
• Set two was all Southern Indiana as the Eagles used a 21-8 run to go up by two sets, 25-12. 
• The Cardinals started set three strong, taking a 12-10 lead behind back-to-back kills from Lily Johnson and Tatum Ernt. The Eagles responded, however, outscoring Jewell 15-5 over the final 20 points to earn the sweep. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Bella LaPorta led the Cardinals with seven kills while Hannah Cope had 11 assists. 
• LaPorta and Chloe Robison had two blocks each.
