INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Playing on the road for the final time this season, the William Jewell football team dropped a 45-14 decision to Indianapolis to fall to 0-10 on the season. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• UIndy used a big first quarter to jump out on top 17-0 and added a score to start the second period to hold a 24-0 lead early. 
• Jewell got on the board late in the first half as the Cardinals ran nine plays for 72 yards ending in a Keavian Long rush from nine yards out for the first score of his young career. 
• The Greyhounds expanded their lead to 45-7 before Livingston Benoit found a hole up the middle for 16 yards and get Jewell on the board once again. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• The freshman duo of Benoit and Long combined for 54 net yards and two scores, while the latter also had 64 receiving yards.
• Bart Harris finished with 223 yards through the air with his main target being Jalik Jaggwe who totaled 81 yards. 
• Kobe Oldfield finished with 10 tackles while Jackson Vest had nine. Ja'Carri Lewis had the Cardinals only sack on the day.

Jewell will wrap up the 2021 season next weekend as they host Quincy for Senior Day and inaugural Battle of the Birds. The winner will collect a traveling trophy to hold for the next year.
