MARQUETTE, Mich. - The William Jewell women's basketball dropped a 75-49 decision on Sunday afternoon in the second game of the GLVC/GLIAC Crossover. The Cardinals fall to 0-2 on the young season with the loss. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The first quarter went back and forth as Jewell scored five early by Rachel Senn before the Huskies went on top by five, 16-11. 
• Jewell went on a 12-2 run over the next four-plus minutes, capped by two free throws by Lea Finn, to put the Cardinals in front by five, 23-18. Michigan Tech outscored Jewell 23-5 to lead by 13 at the break. 
• The Huskies grew their lead to as many as 24 midway through the third quarter but seven straight points from Libby Arnold pulled Jewell back within 17. 
• Michigan Tech closed the fourth quarter with a 14-6 run to bring the score to the 75-49 final. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Arnold poured in a career-high 22 points on 8-of-13 from the floor and 3-of-5 from three. 
• Kate Hillyer added 13 points, eight rebounds and two assists.
