LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell men's basketball team scored 52 points in the second half to push past Bible Baptist College, 86-64 to move to 4-5 on the season. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Jewell got off to a hot start, hitting four three pointers in the first seven minutes to open up an eight point lead early. The Patriots rallied, eventually going on top by four late in the first half, 31-27. A triple from Trey Shannon followed by a tip in at the buzzer from Kobe McKinley put the Cards back in front, 34-33 at the break. 
• After Baptist Bible opened the second half on a 8-4 run to go on top by three, Jewell outscored the Patriots 42-16 over the next 13 minutes, capped by two threes from Mason Alexander to give the Cardinals their largest lead of the day, 80-57. The bench came on late and kept things in control, raising the lead to 24 after a bucket by Isaac Patterson.

• Kobe McKinley flirted with a triple-double, tying his career high with 17 points to go with nine rebounds and a career-best six steals. 
• Jordan Jermain poured in 16 points while Alexander add 15 with four assists. John Zimmerman also posted a career-high 12 points and Shannon chipped in 10.
• The Cardinals shot 59% from the floor in the second half and 44% for the game. Jewell hit a season-high 13 triples and outrebounded the Patriots 37-32.
