CARDINAL NOTES
- Jewell enters the week at 1-4-1 on the year, after a tough 1-0 decision at McKendree last week.
- The Cardinals are led offensively by freshman Ethan Nichols and his 1.20 shots per game, which is sixth in the GLVC. In addition to his team-high six shots, Nichols has one goal and one assist to his credit.
- Eli Gratz posted a career-high seven saves on Sunday at McKendree. The freshman keeper has appeared in six games with five starts over more than 500 minutes of action.
- As a team, Jewell is 15th in the GLVC in shots per game with 5.33 and fourth with 4.00 saves per outing.
ABOUT SOUTHERN INDIANA
- Southern Indiana enters Friday's game with a record of 3-2 after starting with two losses.
- The Screaming Eagles are ninth in the GLVC with 10.60 shots per game. Zach Barton leads the way with five goals on 12 shots, second in the league.
- Brian Winkler has dished out three assists with Colten Walsh adding two.
- Justin Faas has played all 450 minutes in goal for the Eagles and has 19 saves, good for a tie for fifth in the GLVC.
- Mat Santoro, now in his 12th season as head coach, earned his 100th career victory over the weekend.

- UIndy, ranked No. 2 in last week's national poll, is undefeated thus far this season at 4-0-1. Illinois Springfield was able to hold the Greyhounds to a scoreless draw last Friday.
- Cole Rainwater leads the offensive with 3.60 shots per game. Both he, and Alejandro Steinwascher boast three goals.
- The Greyhounds are tops in the GLVC with more than 17 shots per game and have two shutouts.
- John Higgins, a UIndy alumnus, is in his 11th season with the Greyhounds and owns a career record of 123-55-23 and led his program to a national semifinal run last season.
