nd meeting between the Cardinals and Bulldogs with the last Jewell win coming in 2014.

CARDINAL NOTES
- Jewell is coming off a 49-28 loss at the hands of Missouri S&T on Saturday. The Cardinals got off to a strong start, scoring 21 unanswered points to close the first half but were held scoreless in the second 30 minutes.
- Multiple young players were impressive in their debuts, including running back Josh Yancey, who totaled 31 yards rushing and 139 yards receiving with one touchdown. Redshirt freshman Grant Latina finished with 68 yards receiving to go along with 115 kickoff return yards, the highest total since Bulla Graft in October 2018, also against the Miners.
- Quarterback Will Schneider connected on 17-of-28 passes for 291 yards and one touchdown, which moved him past Brad Strauss for third in the NCAA in career passing yards, now with 4,336. The senior also surpassed Nick West for second with 5,528 yards of total offense.
- Defensively, Kole Wagener shined, posting 12 tackles, including 1.5 for loss, while forcing a fumble. Myles Nash, another freshman, grabbed his first career interception.
ABOUT TRUMAN
- Truman opened the 2021 spring season with a 38-20 victory over Southwest Baptist last Thursday, scoring 31 straight points to rally for the win.
- Nolan Hair has taken over the reins under center and threw for 221 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
- Cody Schrader collected 121 rushing yards and two scores of his own while Jaylen Jefferson had a team-best 56-yard run to go along with 92 kickoff return yards.
- Greg Nesbitt is now in his 10th season at the helm of the Truman program and is a 2010 inductee into the Missouri Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
