ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The William Jewell volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals fall to 4-8 on the season, 0-4 in GLVC play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• After trading points early, the Tritons scored four points on two kills and two aces to gain some separation. A kill from Bella LaPorta as the two teams traded points once again but the early deficit could not be overcome. 
• With UMSL leading by one, 7-6, the Tritons went on a 9-2 run open an eight point advantage. The Cardinals were able to pull back within 24-17 but a kill by Karlyn Hannewald ended the set. 
• The Cardinals fell into an 12-point hole to open set three and could not recover, falling 25-11. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Anna Godfredsen lead the Cardinals with seven kills while Lily Johnson had four blocks as Jewell outblocked the Tritons, 7-1.
• Samantha Thompson finished with 14 assists while Haidan Baade had 15 digs.
