LIBERTY, Mo. - For three quarters, the William Jewell women's basketball team kept pace with GLVC Central Division leader Missouri-St. Louis but the Tritons used a big fourth quarter to down the Cardinals 70-44 on Saturday afternoon. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Cardinals grabbed the first lead just seconds into the game as Katie Knock received the opening tip off and went all the way to the basketball for a quick 2-0 lead. The Tritons went on an 11-3 run over the final five minutes of the opening quarter to go on top 18-10. 
• UMSL expanded their lead to 13 by the end of the half and looked to be gaining separation but the Cardinals opened the third quarter on an 11-2 run, led by six points from Knock, to close the gap to just four, 32-28. 
• The Tritons outscored Jewell 35-13 over the final 15 minutes to build the score to the final of 70-44. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Knock led the Cardinals with nine points and five rebounds while Lea Finn added six points. 
• Jewell blocked four shots, two by Knock and one each from Elizabeth Ernsting and Casi Waterhouse.
