Casey Carpenter Named Athletic Performance Coach

LIBERTY, Mo. – William Jewell Director of Athletics Tom Eisenhauer has announced the addition of Casey Carpenter to the Cardinal staff as the Head Athletic Performance Coach. He officially begins his duties, today, March 21. 
 
Carpenter comes to Jewell from Missouri Valley College where he was responsible for designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for 25 sports while also serving as the powerlifting coach. Prior to his time at Missouri Valley, he was the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Kentucky Christian University for more than four years, the first such appointee in school history. At Kentucky Christian he designed and built the strength and conditioning program from scratch, helped design, and install a new weight room and served as the game operations director for football while overseeing the strength and conditioning programming for 17 sports. 
 
He previously made stops at Millsaps College as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach while also serving as an intern with the performance departments at Rice University (Texas) and Samford University (Ala.). 
 
As a student-athlete, he was a quarterback at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama. He earned a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in fitness, conditioning, and performance from Auburn University in 2015. 
 
A native of Wedowee, Alabama, Carpenter is a certified strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as well as certified in Adult First Aid/CPR/AED through the American Red Cross. He is married to wife, Dr. Rebekah Carpenter.
