LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell volleyball team fell in four sets to Drury University on Saturday afternoon in the Mabee Center. The Cardinals drop to 7-7 on the season and 0-2 in GLVC play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Drury jumped out to an early 9-2 lead in the opener and eventually stretched the advantage to 21-12. The Cardinals went on a small run, scoring seven points behind two kills from Jordan Collard and one by Anna Godfredsen to pull within 24-19, but an error gave DU the set. 
• Set two was back-and-forth through the early going before Drury went on top 17-13 midway through. The Cardinals rallied, finishing on a 12-3 run, with four kills from Katy Garrison, to take set two 25-20.
• The Panthers used a 7-3 run in the third to open up a 19-11 advantage. A kill from Godfredsen ended the skid but DU outscored Jewell 6-5 to win the set 25-17. 
• Jewell jumped out in from 9-3 early in the finale, including three straight service aces from Collard, but a late 9-3 rally by the Panthers pushed them past the Cards 25-21. 

KEY STATS

• Garrison finished with a team high 13 kills while Godfredsen added 11. 
• The Cardinals had three in double figure digs led by Haidan Baade's match high 25. Collard added 16 and Bella LaPorta 14. 
• Tatum Ernt put up a game high six blocks to go with nine kills on a .400 attack percentage.
