LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's basketball team dropped a 69-52 decision on Saturday afternoon to Quincy University, falling to 4-13 on the season, 2-5 in conference play. 
HOW IT HAPPENED
	- Jewell got off to a good start as the Shannon sisters combined for six of the first eight Cardinal points but Quincy finished the period on 7-3 run to lead 16-11 after 10 minutes. 
- The Cardinals got right back in it early in the second quarter, with a 6-0 run after a bucket from Libby Arnold to put Jewell back in front 17-16. With the Hawks leading late in the half, Ayden Shannon and Skyler Boylan scored to make it a two point game at the break, 28-26. 
- Quincy pushed their lead to double digits midway through the third quarter but the Cardinals responded with seven combined points from Shannon and Libby Arnold to quickly pull back within three. 
- The Hawks outscored the Cardinals 23-14 in the fourth quarter to build their lead to as many as 19 late in the game.  
KEY STATS
	- Ayden Shannon led the Cardinals with 16 points while Arnold added a season high nine. 
- Skyler boylan came off the bench to pull down a team best seven rebouns while Chloe Frank added six. 
- Jewell shot 28% from the floor, compared to 42% by the Hawks.
