LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell men's and women's swim teams each picked up a win against the Maryville Saints at home, 171-24 for the men and 152-20 for the women. While the men also lost their dual to the Missouri S&T Miners, 120-85. After everything was said and done, the men moved to 2-2 on the year, while the women remain unbeated at 4-0.
Sophomores
Maddie Atwood and
Laura Torres led the way for Jewell the only Cardinals with a pair of first place finishes, first in the 200 free (2:15.73) and then the 100 free (1:02.49) for Atwood. While Torres swam a 27.97 in the 50 free, and 4:40.98 in the 400 free.
Connor Sawyer also placed top-2 in the 200 and 100 free events, collecting times of 1:57.42 and 52.72, respectively.
