QUINCY, Ill. - The William Jewell volleyball team fell 3-0 at No. 21 ranked Quincy University on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals drop to 10-15 on the year and 2-8 in conference action. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Cardinals trailed by just three late in the opening set after two kills by Maliyah Johnson but Quincy followed with a 6-1 run to take the set, 25-17. 
• Jewell started the second frame strong, taking a 12-9 lead after back-to-back Hawk errors. Both teams traded runs after that as Quincy took a 15-12 lead before the Cardinals went back on top 22-19. The Hawks rallied with another late 6-1 run to finish set two, 25-23. 
• Tied at 12 midway through the finale, the Hawks went on an 8-2 run to take a commanding 20-13 lead. The teams traded points late but the lead was too large to overcome as Jewell fell 25-18.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Anna Godfredsen finished with a team high eight kills while Katy Garrison had four blocks. 
• Jesa Wallace handed out 27 assists.
