HAMMOND, Ind. - The William Jewell volleyball team fell 3-0 to Roosevelt University on Saturday in their finale of the Midwest Region Crossover. The Cardinals drop to 7-14 overall with the loss. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Trailing 21-13 in set one, the Cardinals put together a huge rally with an 11-3 run knot the score at 24-all. Jewell held set point twice and tied four times but Roosevelt got back-to-back points to take the opener, 31-29. 
• Both teams went back-and-forth for most of the way through set two until Roosevelt used a late 7-4 run to win 25-22. 
• The Lakers used two runs of 7-0 and 7-1 to roll to a 25-17 win in the finale and sweep the Cardinals, 3-0. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Jewell was limited to an .081 attack percentage as a team but out blocked Roosevelt, 8-6. 
• Katy Garrison, Bella LaPorta, and Caroline Beckmann finished with six kills each with the latter having a team high five blocks. 
• Samantha Thompson had 16 assists while Alexis Nunn finished with a game high 15 digs.
