LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell swimming teams opened their 2024-2025 season with wins at home Thursday afternoon. Both team took on Maryville University, with the men winning 174 – 28, while the women beat the Saints 164 – 31. The dual also included the women's program of The College of Saint Mary (Neb.), which the Cardinal women won 162 – 38. 
 
Both men's and women's duals were dominated by the Cardinals who came in first place in all 22 events between the three schools. Jewell would hold both first and second place spots in 17 of the 22 events when the meet would end.
