INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - William Jewell redshirt sophomore linebacker Eric Ohmer has been selected as the final Great Lakes Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the 2024 season. 

The St. Louis, Mo. native made 13 total tackles, including 12 solos, in his first start of the season while adding one pass breakup. His efforts helped lead the Cardinals to a 45-14 win over McKendree, their first ever over the Bearcats, and achieving the most wins (5) and GLVC wins (3) since 2014. 

This is the first weekly honor of Ohmer's career and he is the second Cardinal this season to receive the honor, joining Adam Callahan (9/30/24).
