LIBERTY, Mo. - The 2024 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Between both programs Jewell soccer landed eight combined student-athletes on the list, including
Zach Nichols,
Alexis Ibarra,
Tristan Barroeta, and
Walker Bond. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the games throughout the season.
On the men's side, it is the second straight nod on the list for the junior Ibarra while it is the first time the other three men have been selected including Nichols who was named to the All-GLVC Third Team earlier this month.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
