INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - William Jewell College senior Martina Torrent was named this week's PNC GLVC Swim and Dive Athlete of the Week for the first time this season after three first place finishes at the Eagle Invitational last weekend, announced by the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) office Tuesday.

Torrent collected wins in the 200 IM (2:07.19), the 200 breaststroke (2:16.61, B cut), the 100 breast (1:02.35, B cut) where she set a new school record, and swam a 29.0 second realy split in the women's 200 IM relay.

It is the fourth time in Torrent's career she has been named PNC Swim & Dive Athlete of the week after earning the honor twice last season en route to All-America honors.
