INDIANOLA, IA - The William Jewell women's wrestling team traveled north on Friday for the National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships (NCWWC) Region V Tournament, held at Simpson College. The Cardinals finished fifth overall as a team with two athletes,
Athena Willden and
Alex Waitsman, punching their ticket to nationals. Additionally, head coach
Desiree Ramos was voted by her peers at the Region V Coach of the Year.
