INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The William Jewell track and field teams wrapped up the 2024 Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Championships on Sunday afternoon where the Cardinal women finished seventh overall, their highest team mark since 2013, while the men were eleventh.
Sophomore
Caroline Mayes highlighted the weekend winning her first individual conference title by running an 8.72 in the 60 meter hurdles to simultaneously break a 13-year-old school record and hit an NCAA-II provisional mark. Elsewhere,
Bobbie Pollard (weight throw),
Lillian Bogard (high jump), and
Lukas LePage (pole vault) each moved up on the all-time top-10 performers list while
Camryn Thomas (triple jump) and
Konnor Poynter (400 meters) joined the career lists for the first time.
Additionally, the men's distance medley relay and 4x400 relay put their teams on the all-time performances list at fifth and fourth, respectively.
