ALAMOSA, Colo. - The William Jewell men's lacrosse team earned a 17-7 win over Adams State University on Tuesday to open their Colorado road swing and move to 4-3 on the season. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Jewell wasted no time jumping out on top as Hunter Mee won the opening face off and scored just six seconds into the game. The Cardinals got four more goals in the opening frame, including two from Nathaniel Leroux to break out to a 5-0 lead. 
• The hosts got on the board with two scores just Olivier LaPlante and Adam Bailey made it a 7-2 halftime advantage for the Cardinals.
• Jewell outscored Adams State 6-4 in the third quarter and added four more in the final 15 minutes to expand their lead to a final of 17-7. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Seth Heath and Eric Ramirez each had three goals for three points while Leroux, LaPlante, Bailey, Mee and Jake Wynecoop each added two points. 
• Fynn Ziebarth finished with 11 saves and a team high eight ground balls. 
• The Cardinals were 19-of-28 in face offs with Mee taking 13-of-15.
