LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell men's lacrosse team picked up an 11-10 victory on Wednesday evening over Dominican University of California. The Cardinals improve to 6-4 on the season with the win. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Hunter Mee scored two goals in the first 20 seconds for the Cardinals to give Jewell a fast advantage. DUC got two on the board but a Dom Vincentini score made it 3-2 after one period. 
• The Penguins outscored the Cardinals 3-1 in the second frame to hold a 5-4 lead at the break. 
• Jake Wynecoop quickly knotted things up to open the third quarter followed by a score from Seth Heather just five seconds later to put the Cardinals back in front. Wynecoop added two more for Jewell while Eric Ramirez and Nathaniel Leroux also got in on the action to make a 10-6 lead heading into the final frame. 
• The visitors went on a run, out scoring the Cardinals 4-1 in the final 15 minutes but a save from Fynn Ziebarth with under 12 seconds to go secured the Jewell victory, 11-10. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Jewell out shot the Penguins 45-33, led by four goals from Wynecoop. 
• Zach Johnson picked up a team high seven ground balls while Heath had two assists. 
• Ziebarth finished with 10 saves.

Jewell is back in action on April 6 as the return to Great Lakes Valley Conference play with Indianapolis.
