EMPORIA, Kan. - The William Jewell track and field teams opened the 2024 outdoor season on Thursday at the Emporia State Relays. Junior
Emma Frisbee led the Cardinals by breaking her own school record in the javelin and becoming the first woman to crack 40 meters, throwing 40.32 to place fourth in the meet and break her previous mark by more than two meters.
Frisbee and
Cydney Banks (shot put) added their names once again to the top-10 all-time performances list while rookie Treyton Roets did the same in the men's javelin. Additionally, the Cardinals made nine improvements or additions to all-time performers lists on the men's side with another six on the women's, including three from sophomore
Caroline Mayes.
