LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's lacrosse team dropped a 21-7 contest to McKendree University on Friday afternoon at home. The Cardinals fall to 1-11 overall and 0-4 in conference action. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• McKendree started fast, outscoring Jewell 7-1 in the opening quarter. Addison Devers scored her 15th goal of the season to start the second period while Kaylee Gross also scored in the quarter to make it 14-3 in favor of the Bearcats at the half. 
• Toryn Podschwit connected on the player-up goal in the third period, on a feed from Gross, but the led 17-5 at the end of the frame. 
• In the fourth, the teams played nearly even as Devers, Gross, and Jacey Wynn scored in the period.  

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Gross finished with a team high four points, with two goals and two assists on four shots. 
• Devers also scored twice while Olivia Fornelli led the team with four draw controls and five shots on goal. 
• Haydin Gibson finished with 13 saves.
