LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's lacrosse team fell 25-2 on Sunday afternoon to No. 6 ranked and unbeaten Maryville to drop to 1-12 on the season and 0-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Maryville came out hot, scoring 10 goals in the first quarter and another eight in the second to hold a commanding 18-0 lead at the half. 
• Jewell got on the board in the third period as Olivia Fornelli scored her 21st goal of the season. 
• Sara Polovina got in the scoring colum early in the fourth period as the Cardinals held Maryville to just seven goals in the second half. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Kaylee Gross led the Cardinals with four draw controls while Fornelli had three to go with a team high four shots on goal. 
• Maryville out shot the Cardinals 41-14.
