LAWRENCE, Kan. - The William Jewell track and field teams concluded the regular season on Saturday at the Rock Chalk Classic, hosted by the University of Kansas. Junior
Cydney Banks broke her own school record in the women's shot put with a throw of 15.05 meters to hit an NCAA provisional mark, ranking 11th in Division II.
In addition to Banks,
Bobbie Pollard (hammer throw) and
Caroline Mayes (100 meter hurdles) added their names to the all-time top-10 performances list for the Cardinal women.
On the men's side,
Lukas LePage posted a pole vault of 4.62 meters, tying Kelly Howerton for the tenth best performance all-time and becoming the first athlete to make the list, not named Howerton since the former NAIA National Champion wore the uniform.
Bradan Dickinson (hammer), Treyton Roets (javelin), and
Nathan Lightfoot (discus) were also added to the top-10 marks list.
