MARYVILLE, Mo. - The William Jewell indoor track and field opened the indoor season on Saturday at the annual Mel Tjeerdsma Classic. 
 
WOMEN

• 200 Meters: Leila Moore finished in front of the three Cardinal women with a 27.69, followed by Phia Vogel and Kennedy Vernon who posted 28.15 and 28.49, respectively. 
• 400 Meters: Moore ran a 1:03.18, good for 23^rd. 
• 3000 Meters: Senior Landen Wilson took 6^th with a 11:48.35. 

MEN

• 200 Meters: Connor Hull took fifth place overall with a 22.27, good for second all time in program history. Mason Sullivan was 34^th at 23:08, while Kain Sourbeer and Payton Harris posted 23.47 and 23.69, respectively.
• 400 Meters: Hull took 2^nd place with a 49.52, fifth fastest all time in program history. Konner Poynter was ten spots behind at 12^th with a 50.53. 
• 3000 Meters: Sincere Davis had a top-20 finish with a 9:33.89 while Kavan Phillips finished 26^th (10:.33.48). Justin Edwards posted a 11:34.95, good for 30^th. 
• Long Jump: Myles Vohs jumped a 6.21 toss, finishing 31^st.
• Shot Put: Keonne Gladden led the way of the trio tossing a 14.26m to finish 14^th. Bradan Dickinson threw a 12.60 for 25^th while Korbin Dow wrapped up the shot with a 11.68m.
• Weight Throw: Dickinson led the same trio with a 5^th place finish after putting up a 17.74m, 7^th best all-time in Cardinal indoor history. Gladden went 12.75m for 19^th while Dow threw the weight 12.85m for a 35^th place finish. 
• 4x400 Relay: Williams, Poynter, Sourbeer, and Hull collectively took second place with a 3:22.96 finish, 7^th fastest in program history.
