LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's lacrosse team saw their three-game win streak snapped on Friday night at the hands of Concordia-St. Paul by a final of 19-11. Jewell falls to 3-2 on the season with the loss. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Cardinals started fast, scoring four goals in the first seven minutes to force an early CSP timeout. The Bears came out of the timeout with seven goals to go in front early in the second quarter. 
• Elle Eastwood snapped the run with a score before Fia Lamanno got a woman-up goal to pull Jewell back within two. Concordia-St. Paul added two more to close the half, leading 10-6. 
• The Bears outscored Jewell 7-3 in the third quarter to open up a 17-9 lead headed in to the final period. 
• Eastwood and Olivia Fornelli added goals in the fourth but CSP matched them late to bring the score to the final. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Eastwood led the team with four goals while Fornelli added three goals, three assists, and five draw controls.
• Zoey Keefer picked up three caused turnovers. 
• Claire Eastwood took the loss in goal but finished with 11 saves.  
• The Cardinals forced 23 turnovers but were just 12-of-22 on clear attempts.

Jewell returns home on Monday to take on Colorado State-Pueblo at 10 a.m. in a postponed game from Wednesday.
