LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's lacrosse team scored four goals in the first eight minutes of action to down Colorado State Pueblo 16-8 on Monday morning at home. The Cardinals improve to 4-2 overall with the victory. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Elle Eastwood and Olivia Fornelli teamed up to score back-to-back goals in less than 60 seconds to pu Jewell on top early. With the Cardinals up 4-0 late in the first quarter, Eastwood again found the cage followed by a score from Fia Lamanno to make it 6-0. 
• The Thunderwolves outscored Jewell 3-2 in the second quarter as Kaylee Gross' goal made it 8-4 at the half. 
• The Cardinals again came out hot to start the period Fornelli, Eastwood, and Zoey Keefer all scored to expand the lead to 11-4 and force a CSP timeout. Fornelli added two more in the third period while each team had three goals in the fourth to bring things to a final of 16-8.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Jewell out shot CSP 35-25 and were 24-of-30 on clears. 
• Fornelli lead the team with five goals and an assist with Eastwood scoring four times. 
• Gross finished with two goals, one assist, four caused turnovers, seven ground balls. 
• Jewell won 20-of-27 draw controls, led by seven from Gross. 
• Claire Eastwood earned the win in goal with nine saves.
