LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's lacrosse team fell 14-1 on Friday afternoon to Westminster University of Utah. The Cardinals drop to 4-3 on the season with the loss. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Griffins took an early lead but the Cardinals responded quickly with a goal by Ella Childress off a feed from Kaylee Gross.
• Westminster led 5-1 at the intermission and added nine more second half goals to get the win. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Childress led the Cardinals with six shots, including four on goal. 
• Gross had four ground balls while Olivia Fornelli and Sara Polovina each had two caused turnovers. 
• Claire Eastwood picked up five saves in cage.
