Manheim, PA – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) proudly announced the recipients of the 2025 NCAA Women's Scholar All-America Awards on Thursday, with the lone William Jewell College Cardinal on the list being senior Athena Willden.
Willden, a three-year member of the Jewell program, went 20-16 on the season while punching her ticket to an appearance at the National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships last weekend in Iowa. To be named a NWCA Women's Scholar All-American you must meet one of the following academic and athletic criteria:
- A top eight placer at nationals and at least a 3.0 Cumulative GPA
- Competed in a minimum of 15 matches that are recorded in TRACKWRESTLING and has at least a 3.5 Cumulative GPA
- Was a national qualifier and has at least a 3.25 Cumulative GPA
