LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell men's lacrosse team suffered a 21-10 loss on Saturday to Rockhurst University. The Cardinals drop to 2-10 on the year and 0-3 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Jewell started strong with back-to-back goals from Carson Wright and Jaxson Lenz, midway through the first quarter. 
• The Hawks responded with six straight goals to take the lead. The Cardinals made a second quarter run with scores from Eric Ramirez, Declan Fines, and another by Wright to pull within 8-5. 
• Nathaniel Leroux scored to open the second half but Rockhurst outscored the Cardinals 10-2 over the next 15-plus minutes to take a commanding 20-8 lead. Lenz and Wright each added another goal but the Hawks cruised to the 21-10 win. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Wright scored three goals while Lenz added two and an assist. 
• Olivier LaPlante finished with a team high six shots on goal with Fynn Ziebarth grabbing six ground balls and 15 saves. 
• Rockhurst out shot the Cardinals 65-32.

Jewell will close the 2025 season out on the road as they travel to Lewis University (April 19) and Quincy University (April 26).
