LEBANON, Ill. - The William Jewell women's lacrosse team picked up their second Great Lakes Valley Conference win on Friday night at McKendree, winning 16-11. The Cardinals improve to 7-9 on the season and 2-4 in conference play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Jewell jumped out to the early lead with four goals in the first quarter, led by two from Elle Eastwood. 
• The Bearcats rallied to tie the game at 5-all late in the opening half before Olivia Fornelli put Jewell on top at the break with a score. 
• To start the third quarter, the Cardinals went on a 4-0 run, including three straight by Kaylee Gross, to open up a 10-5 lead. 
• The Cardinals outscored McKendree 5-3 in the fourth quarter with Fornelli topped things off with a free position score late in the game.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• The Cardinals out shot McKendree 34-23, putting 31 shots on goal. 
• Eastwood finished with a team high six goals, while Gross added four, and Fornelli three to go with two assists. 
• Fornelli added five draw controls with Eastwood and Faith Bowles grabbing four. 
• In cage, Claire Eastwood collected 10 saves.
