LIBERTY, Mo. – The William Jewell baseball team lost their final game of the series to the Indianapolis Greyhounds on Sunday afternoon's Military Appreciation Day game. After being swept Jewell is 20-26 and 11-17 in GLVC action with one weekend remaining.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Jewell loaded the bases in both the first and second innings, leading to a seven-run lead for the Greyhounds early in the game.
• A three-run homer for Indianapolis in the fifth gave the visiting Greyhounds a commanding 10-0 lead.
• Back-to-back leadoff home runs in the sixth put Indianapolis up 12-0, an Evan Jilbert RBI double would plate Jonah Sanford but it wouldn't be enough as Jewell got run ruled in seven innings, 12-1.

KEY STATS

• Jacob Sullivan got the game one start, receiving the loss with only 1.2 innings pitched.
• Jewell was struck out only four times, a series best, with three of the four punchouts coming in the first inning.
• Evan Jilbert contributed two of the three Cardinal hits on the afternoon.
