LIBERTY, Mo. - The William Jewell women's basketball team suffered a 94-48 loss on Saturday afternoon to McKendree University to drop to 0-13 overall and 0-7 in conference play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• With McKendree leading 18-9 early, Jalea Price scored five straight to pull the Cardinals back within four late in the first period but trailed 22-14 after 10 minutes. Jewell held the Bearcats to just 29% from the floor in the second quarter making a late push to pull within 13 at the half, 36-23, after back-to-back buckets from Rylee Thompson. 
• McKendree went on a 31-9 run over the first 12 minutes of the second half until Price's triple snapped the skid. Syderah Farmer and Alex McGarrah combined for 10 late points in the fourth quarter but the Bearcats closed on a 6-0 run as they cruised to the 94-48 victory.

• The Cardinals were led offensively by Price and McGarrah who each finished with 13 points. 
• Taryn Jacobs grabbed a team high eight rebounds while Farmer and Anna Daughtry handed out four assists each.
