ST. LOUIS - The William Jewell women's basketball team ran into the strongest team in the Great Lakes Valley Conference on Saturday, falling 82-37 to No. 24 ranked Missouri-St. Louis, who captured the regular season GLVC title with the win. The Cardinals drop to 1-23 on the season and 1-17 in conference action.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cardinals got early buckets from Jalea Price, Syderah Farmer, and Taryn Jacobs to trail by just two late in the first quarter. UMSL finished the period on a 14-2 run to open up a double digit lead.
- Jewell went nearly four minutes without scoring through the middle of the second quarter before Jacobs' layup snapped the streak. The Cardinals finished the half on a 7-2 but trailed by 21 at the break.
- The nationally ranked Tritons continued to roll in the second half, outscoring Jewell 41-15, cruising to the 82-37 win.

- Three Cardinals finished with double figures, led by Price with 13 while Farmer and Jacobs each had 10.
- The Cardinals shot just 26% from the floor and had just 13 turnovers.
