BOLIVAR, Mo. - The William Jewell women's basketball team dropped a 77-55 decision on Saturday at Southwest Baptist to fall to 0-20 on the year and 0-14 in conference play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Southwest Baptist came out on fire, jumping out to a 20-0 lead over the first five-plus minutes, shooting better than 70%, while the Cardinals were 0-for-9 during the stretch. Jalea Price's three pointer got Jewell on the board as they finished the quarter outscoring SBU 12-9.
• The Cardinals were again cold in the second period, going 3-for-18 from the floor as SBU extended the lead to 47-20 at the half. 
• Jewell won the second half 35-30 but the early deficit was too much to overcome as the Bearcats cruised to the 22-point win.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Price led the Cardinals with 17 points while Mandi Pham added nine off the bench and Jacee Peterson, eight. 
• Maja Komaszynska and Rylee Thompson each had a team high six rebounds while Syderah Farmer had four steals.
