ATCHISON, Kan. - The William Jewell women's lacrosse team fell to the NAIA top-ranked No. 1 Benedictine Ravens, 14-22 in their first road game of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Down two goals early in the first quater Rosie Grebe assisted on Kuepper Trinkel's goal to put Jewell on the board.
• It wouldn't be until the second quarter when Jewell found some rythmn, scoring six goals, the same as the Ravens, including a second-quarter hat-trick from the freshman Evan Strain while Trinkel and Elle Eastwood also found the net.
• After going into the final quater down 20-9, Jewell held the Ravens to only two goals compared to Jewell's five for the 22-14 final.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Claire Eastwood started in the net for the Cardinals stopping a pair of shots, while Kailey Carreno played 44 minutes in goal with nine saves.
• Hannah Bankert's fourth quarter goal was the first of her career, the same with Grebe's goal. Trinkel collected four total goals in the loss.
