BOLIVAR, Mo. - The William Jewell volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss at Southwest Baptist on Saturday afternoon to drop to 1-13 overall and 0-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
The Cardinals started strong, leading 8-5 after a
Wylie Singleton ace. Southwest Baptist followed with a 13-4 run to take the lead but Jewell got kills from
Macy Bartlett and
Silvia Fisher to pull with four late but the Bearcats took the set, 25-19.
SBU's offense exploded in the final two sets as the Bearcats hit .500 with just one error, taking the frames 25-8, 25-9.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Alexis Frazier handed out a team high 18 assists with Fisher's seven kills leading the way.
- Singleton picked up seven digs, two aces, and one block.

Jewell returns home on Friday night for the first time this season as they host Quincy University at 6 p.m.
