The Jewell women won their fifth straight game on Thursday, downing the University of Missouri-St. Louis 59-43 for their 11th win of the season.
The win, combined with losses by Drury and Missouri Science & Technology, means Jewell shares the lead in the Western Division of the Great Lakes Valley Conference at 6-2.
The Cardinals were led by Cassy Nicholay with 14 points and nine rebounds;
Holly Switzer added a dozen points.
Aerial Smith dished out three assists.
Jewell shot 56% in the first half in building a 10 point halftime lead. In the second half, the Cardinals maintained and built their lead with the help of 12-14 free throw shooting in the half.
