Maryville University used good free throw shooting and timely steals to defeat Jewell Saturday afternoon 64-60 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Katlyn Wood had 18 points and 10 rebounds for Jewell, and Cassy Nicolay added 14 points.

Maryville hit 10 three-pointers in the game. The Cardinals comitted 20 turnovers to the Saints 14. 

The game broke a five game Cardinal win streak, and was the eighth straight win at home for the Saints.  There were 10 ties in the game and 14 lead changes, despite Maryville getting out to a seven point lead in the first four minutes.

Jewell (11-4, 6-3 GLVC) faces Drury Thursday night at 5:45 in Springfield, Missouri.
