Kaylee Marquardt smashed 14 kills and
Kelsey Moffitt recorded 13 digs, but the William Jewell College volleyball fell to University of Wisconsin-Parkside in straight sets (25-22, 25-21, 25-22) in Kenosha, Wisc. The Cardinals, who have lost three straight matches, fall to 10-13 overall and 4-6 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Marquardt was the only Jewell player with double-digit kills, no one else had more than eight. As a team, the Cardinals hammered 40 kills, but with 18 errors in 123 swings, they hit .179, over 100 percentage points lower than the Lady
Rangers (.296).
The Cardinals will look to regroup before hosting Quincy University next Friday (Oct. 26) at 7:00 p.m. at The Mabee Center on the Jewell campus in Liberty, Mo.
