First-year Zinca Duric's 14-point performance propelled the William Jewell College women's basketball team to a 79-23 home-opening win against Calvary Bible College on Tuesday evening at the Mabee Center in Liberty, Mo.
Duric also added four rebounds in the victory.
Jessie Wheeler pitched in 12 points and
Tesia Danner made her presence know inside with 11 points and eight rebounds.

The Cards jumped out to a 25-5 lead and never looked back. Jewell went into halftime up 40-14. Jewell continued to dominate play in the second half building on thier halftime lead to eventually produce the 79-23 final result.
The Cardinals 3-1 on the year will travel to Pittsburg, Kan., on Wednesday, November 28 to take on Pittsburg State University.
