The William Jewell College Women's Basketball team cruised to an 83-34 victory over Central Christian College of the Bible (Mo.) to improve to 5-1 on the season.  Ariel Smith and Holly Switzer led the Cardinals with 12 points apiece.

The first six minutes of the game were nip and tuck but with the Cardinals leading at 11-10.  Jewell then went on a 7-0 run to break the game open.  The Cardinals shot 50% while holding Central Christian to 36% and led 37-22 at the half.

Zinka Duric added 10 points off the bench and was 4-of-9 from the floor.  Jewell won the battle of the boards 42-35 and the Cardinals forced 24 turnovers while only committing four for the game. 

Kelsey Mueller was the lone saint to score in double-figures as she led the team with 11 points.

Jewell will be in action again next Saturday afternoon with a home contest against Newman University at the Mabee Center in Liberty, Mo.  Tip time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
