Jewell was never in the women's game at Rolla Saturday afternoon, losing to Missouri S&T 78-48 in GLVC action.

The Cardinals (13-10, 8-9 in the GLVC) trailed 40-14 at the half, and were only outscored by four points in the second half.  S&T shot 59% for the game while the Cardinals hit only 38% of their shots.  The Miners (18-7, 12-5) also hit 19-31 free throws, while Jewell hit eight of nine.

Chelsea Meeks had a game high 16 points.  She was the only double-digit scorer for Jewell.  Jesse Wheeler had four steals.

The Cardinal women return home on Thursday night to wrap up the regular season against Rockhurst University at 5:30.  Senior Katy Colby, the lone graduating Cardinal, will be honored.
