Box Score Down by 19 points in the first half, William Jewell College fought back against the University of Sioux Falls but fell just short to the Cougars 69-63.

The outcome decided the championship of the D2 Vegas Showdown which Jewell and USF participated in as transitional members of the NCAA.  Both schools were ineligible for NCAA postseason due to the transitional process; Jewell would have qualified for the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament but for the transition rule.

The Cardinals finish at 15-11 this season, while USF finishes 23-3.

Holly Switzer had 17 points for Jewell, Cassie Nicolay had 15 points and 7 rebounds, and Chelsea Meeks had 10 points, seven assists, and nine rebounds.

Meeks was named to the All-Tournament team.
